Bio:
I have lived all over the world – Amsterdam, Singapore, Morocco, Jakarta, Italy, UK, USA – and try to understand global implications of any stategy. I run social media workshops in Australia, Asia and Middle East and my goal is to help every person I meet share their Voice.
Why I want to be an outreach blogger:
I am passionate about knowledge transfer, of not just teaching but of leaving each participant in my workshops in a place where they can themselves become knowledge transferers, changing the world around them. I’ve worked in Jakarta (1 year), Morocco (1 year) etc.
Social media for me is about giving the unvoiced a voice. A project I took on was to build an online community for women in the Middle East. We asked them to write in why Islamic women matter – there were 17,000 submissions in 3 days and the community was at 80,000 by the end of week one –the iMatter community at MBC. My time in Saudi Arabia was enjoyable, amazing to be with so many inspirational and intelligent women.
