Thank you Mama Mushi for Posing a challenging question on mining sector in Tanzania. Yes, I believe the environmental impact assessment done before engaging into mining work should have been followed seriously for environmental sustainability. Unfortunately there are reported cases of side effects due to mining to citizens. If our entrusted authorities were working responsibly to ensure safety of the citizen then surely taxi could have also been followed up. I think companies coming to invest in developing countries should abide by global rules on environment and in case of breaching, international legal entities should intervene.

Asante sana, Mama Mushi! I appreciate the most generous support and hospitality from you and your staff while I was in Tanzania. It is a time I shall never forget. I hope that I've been able to offer something of value to you and your team, and I look forward to writing much, much more when I return to Sydney.
