Children studying at Pre-school

The young children are coming here and getting basic education to get ready for their regular schooling. Besides learning basics like alphabets, counting, story-telling, recitation etc., these young children also have a fair share of recreation through fun activities like drawing, song and dance etc. There are some indoor game items as well. Our learnings from other areas show that activities such as this create enthusiasm in learners to continue education.

ActionAid has started working with more than 500 children and their families of Daulatpur area of Kustia district and your support can help more children to enroll in this programme.

On the eve of FIFA World Cup 2010, ActionAid Bangladesh organised 64 football matches. In 26 districts of Bangladesh, these football matches manifested the ‘1GAOL: Education for All’ campaign. In total, 704 girls and 704 boys participated in this campaign.

The events raised awareness in the community level on the importance of education for all. Besides, girls’ football matches were a huge breakthrough in the community and established that girls have equal right to participate and enjoy sports equally.

The children of Bangladesh need more support for their education and the enhancement of skills in order to get established in the society. We appeal to you to extend your solidarity and kind support for these poor and marginalised children. For Child Sponsorship or any type of funding, please contact:
